Having worked for a few tech businesses, the first back in 2005 and more recently, fast forward 15 years, to working at Scope and it’s pretty clear that the world of Tech has changed hugely. Rolling out any new solution takes time, it relies on trust and understanding on both sides to get things right. The same applies here at Scope. We are passionate that our customers have the best experience from start to end, with both the technology and the relationship.

Here are 3 reasons why a shared implementation is so important for a successful system roll out.

1. Trust

A partnership means that both sides are 100% invested in the same success. Being honest and trusting each other about what is or isn’t working well, having difficult conversations and taking ownership of tasks equally along the way are all critical. The relationship is the foundations of the success because without trust, the difficult conversations can’t happen.

2. Be involved

Invest your time in supporting the implementation and you’re already on the road to it being a success. Understand early on what part you have to play in the process and where the main areas of your time should be invested. Without your input the new roll-out won’t be as successful – your new partner knows their system and you know your business. Both are crucial and so it’s important to be involved as a business throughout the process.

3. Buy in to the process

There will be an implementation process suggested by your new partner, which they believe is the best approach for your business based on their experience. Of course you will need to input into this to ensure it is in line with your requirements, but with an agreed process, everyone knows their roles and responsibilities as well as having clear timescales helping all sides reach the end goal in time, successfully.

So, if you’re looking into new tools or systems to help your business, be sure to ‘partner’ with your chosen tool, platform or solution provider, and be careful not to simply ‘buy’ it – its success will be better with a solid partnership.
